Art Direction

Within the Editorial Imagery and Operations team, I oversaw all domestic artwork reviews for series and films launching on Peacock. I ensured all artwork received met our image specifications by articulately reviewing delivery packages, following design guidelines, and providing feedback to our Partner Solutions team to ensure the preferred imagery was received.

Custom Artwork Creation

When partners were unable to provide artwork meeting our specs, custom assets were created to meet the requirements. In certain scenarios, assets were redesigned for platform use in order to elevate the content.

Below is an example with Creepshow. The original 16x9 art included taglines and text that is not allowed on platform and the partner did not have alternates available. Using background assets from the provided image, a new tile was created that only showed the title treatment and art while maintaining the theme of the content.

Redesign

Sometimes partners were unable to provide the vertical assets needed for platform and only provided the 16x9 assets. In the case with Friendly Monsters below, the partner only provided the 16x9 art and title treatment. Thus, a 3x4 asset was created to meet the requirement.

Image Optimization

For a title's product page on platform, a still from the content is used which is termed as an Immersive Highlight. The artwork review process also consisted of optimizing Immersive Highlight images for all content types to ensure quality.

Below is an example of how older animated stills would be optimized for platform.
